Driss opening Dakhla 2017

It is the 7th and 8th of December 2017 that the Fifth Dakhla meeting took place. In front of a numerous international assistance Professor Driss Guerraoui President of the Open University of Dakhla (OUD) opened the meeting in front of a  high quality official panel In  a world of constant re-composition there is a need for the development of an intelligent public policy involving all the stakeholders and most particularly the civil society. This is in this context that the State Policy must be re-invented moving to pragmatism and efficiency. After the opening session several presentations were done by speakers from various countries. They brushed the actual problems and called for a new form of governance. During the meeting the audience was invited to various receptions thank to the local authorities of the region. On Saturday all the assistance moved to Laâyoune thank to the help of OCP and after a presentation of the Laâyoune Sakia El Hamra Regions’s opportunities a visit was done to the installation of OCP Group  (Office Cherifien des Phosphates).

The program of the meeting was particularly dense, treating of many problems from Local Development, International Relationship, Africa’s Development, World’s Opportunities, Economy, Sustainable Development, etc. It was a unique occasion for many participants to exchange their points of view and to set up informal relationships for further collaborations.  The Fifth International Meeting of Dakhla beyond the presentation of the new development of the Morocco South Provinces can also be considered as an innovative international approach of multidisciplinary gathering involving scientists, practitioners and policy makers. In this context all the participants thank  His Majesty The King Mohammed VI for his deep involvement and help.
