expertise logo  This is the 9th of March 2016 that a meeting  dealing with the expertise in education and training , a major issue for the university, was held in the “Villa Méditerranée” in Marseille. During the meeting various speakers presented their point of view about the national importance to develop expert groups in Europe and in the world. The thematics Education and Training are important for the university. But unfortunately many academics do not consider these areas as critical. Even if Cyril Bouyeure (President of the IDEFIE) was optimistic concernaning these particular points, the point of view of Nicolas Tenzer: “Pourquoi et comment nous nous marginalisons sur la scène internationale” remains in our point of view particularly relevant.

The meeting was open by the Yvon Berland President of the Aix-Marseille University, Jacques Ginestié Director of ESPE, Jean-Luc Fauguet in charge of the international relations at ESPE and Cyril Bouyeure President of IDEFIE. They all underlined the importance of the expertise within the framework of the Agenda 2030 of the European Community. Even if the Academics have the necessary knowledge and backgroud their interest for the international expertise remains low, (in our opinion) partialy due to the criterium adopted for the development of their carreer.  But in a competitive environment, expertise in Education and Training are an important part of the French International influence and this is the reason why most of the speakers pin pointed the necessity for the university to be engaged in this area.

The minutes of the meeting is available here as well as a general background and the Erasmus presentation
