plaquette IBICt  This is during the 10th workshop on Competitive Intelligence and Knowledge Management that IBICT (Brazilian Institute of Scientific and Technical Information) gave a public homage to Professor Henri Dou (Director of ATELIS, ESCEM, France Business School), for his contribution to the development of Competitive Intelligence in Brazil. The date of the 10th IBICT workshop being also the 15th anniversary of the beginning of the development of the original program of dissemenation of Competitive Intelligence in the country.

hommage ibictThis development was organized by Gilda Massari (INT Instituto Nacional de Tecnologia, at that time) and Henri Dou (Professor at the University of Aix Marseille, and director of the DEA Veille Technologique and Competitive Intelligence). The details of the courses have been published in various papers.

During this workhop, Henri Dou presented a conference on Automatic Patent Analysis (APA)? catalyst to develop R&D innovation. During his talk he underlined the progress of the Competitive Intelligence in Brasil, and was very pleased to emphasize the Brazilian way to? ibict tribunedeal with this matter. He also pointed out that today the situation is very different of what it was 15 years ago, and that the conepts methos and tools of Competitive Intelligence are different of what they were at that time. Nevertheless the background remains the same, but Competitive Intelligence is more and more the organization of the apport of the Intelligence on the development and governance (including decsion making) of a Nation, a region an enterprise.? He also indicated that today and especially with the crisis, Competitive Intelligence is going far ahead of its classical definitions to move to the regional development and the social cohesion. The introduction of the coférence was done by Gilda Massari Coelho, and the homage was given by Professor Elit José Suaiden, Diretor of IBICT.
